Jan Gurander was born in 1961 in Mjölby in Sweden. After graduating from the Stockholm School of Economics, Jan Gurander began his career in 1986 initially as a portfolio manager at the capital management company Robur in Stockholm. In 1990, he moved to the Investor AB heading up various departments in the Treasury section. Between 1995 and 1999, he held several high-ranking positions in Scania’s financial division. Between 2000 and 2001, he moved to AB Volvo as head of Business Unit Finance, before returning to Scania AB in April 2001 as a member of the Executive Board. Since January 2007, Jan Gurander has worked as a financial advisor for various Swedish companies.

Jan Gurander was officer on submarines for a year in the Swedish Royal Navy. He is an alumnus and reserve officer of the Swedish Royal Navy College. He is married and has two daughters.

Jan Gurander is in charge of controlling (GC), reporting (GR), accounting (GA), information technology (GI) and legal affairs (GJ).
