Dr.-Ing. Stefan Spindler was born in 1961 at Bonn, Germany. After graduating in mechanical engineering at the Munich Technical University, Dr. Spindler worked for 13 years in various divisions of the engine manufacturer MTU Friedrichshafen. During his time in the industry he was awarded a doctorate in combustion engines. He was appointed a member of the Executive Board of MAN Diesel in June 2002, until which time he had been responsible for diesel engine products at Liebherr AG in Bulle (Switzerland). Dr. Stefan Spindler is married and has two children. 

Dr. Stefan Spindler is responsilbe for the medium speed business for marine as well as power plant applications including R&D, Engineering and Licensing.
