Dr.-Ing. Peter Sunn Pedersen, M.Sc., Ph.D., Executive Vice President  was born in 1943 at Morsø, Denmark. He graduated as a mechanical engineer from the Technical University of Denmark in 1967, and, specialised in diesel technology, acquiring his Ph.D. in 1975. He worked as an assistant professor at the Technical University until 1980, at which time he joined the R&D department of MAN Diesel. After filling various managerial positions, he was appointed Vice President, in charge of R&D, in 1996.
Dr. Peter Sunn Pedersen was appointed Executive Vice President and a member of the joint Executive Board of MAN Diesel in Denmark and Germany from 1 July 2001. He is married and has two children.

Dr. Peter Sunn Pedersen is responsible for the marine low speed business including sales, licensing and engineering.
