- 04/04/2008, Hooked on to Asia’s Largest Floating Cranes
- MAN Diesel’s Shanghai organisation has successfully landed another engine contract in the specialised segment for large floating cranes and construction barges. A newly designed (DLV4400) heavy-lift floating crane from Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery Co Ltd (ZPMC) with a 4,400 ton lifting capacity will be powered by 7 x MAN Diesel 9L32/40 GenSets.
- 11/02/2008, MAN Power for Innovative SeaMetric Heavy-lifters
- SeaMetric International AS, Stavanger, Norway has during December 2007 ordered a package of 24 MAN Diesel marine generating sets type 8L27/38 for four specialised heavy-lifter transport vessels. Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding has now been agreed upon between MAN Diesel and SeaMetric International for future identical GenSets to power planned newbuildings. The agreement was officially signed on Friday 18th of January, at a special ceremony at the Copenhagen DieselHouse.

- MAN Diesel Presents first All-Electronic Four-Stroke MAN Diesel recently received its first order for the new 32/44CR diesel, the first medium-speed, large four-stroke engine to feature common rail fuel injection as standard equipment. Moreover, since electronic engine control is very much the enabling technology of common rail fuel injection, the 32/44CR engine is also MAN Diesel’s first all-electronic four-stroke.

- First Trade Show under new Company Name As well as the presentation of new products in its ranges of two-stroke engines, four-stroke engines and turbochargers, and the debut of the MAN Diesel PrimeServ after-sales brand at SMM 2006, the show also marks MAN Diesel’s first appearance at a public event under its new name.
